The Impact of the Cancellation of the 2020 College Baseball Season

Due to the cancellation of the baseball season, the impact on the 2020 College Baseball recruiting process is unknown.

The NCAA has granted another year of eligibility to thousands of college athletes whose seasons were abruptly cut short.

This brings up many questions including how will individual programs deal with potentially returning far more players. Currently, there is a roster cap of 35 players on a roster, a maximum of 27 players receiving scholarship money, and a mandate that each scholarship player must be on at least a 25 percent scholarship.

This means that already super competitive college baseball programs have the more competition for roster spots and scholarship money than ever before. Give yourself the best shot at making it to the next level and start your college baseball program search NOW!

With Team Roster Insights (2017 – 2020) for 99% of the college baseball programs, College Baseball Insights is the tool you need to streamline the recruiting process. Evaluate any College Baseball Program in minutes and find the best school for your college baseball career.
