What is College Baseball Insights?
Anyone who is an athlete, friends with an athlete, or is the parent of someone who is an up and coming athlete knows how daunting the college recruiting process can be. College Baseball Insights has one mission – give you the information you need to make the right decision for your college baseball career.
College Baseball Insights provides unbiased, factual information that is to be used by players, parents of players, and coaches. We take all frequently asked questions and consolidate them all in one place. We simplify the College Baseball recruiting process by simplifying the data needed to make a decision on whether a particular school and program are correct for the player being recruited, or trying to be recruited.
The recruiting process can be a series of hoops you have to jump through. A seemingly endless process of researching different schools, coaches, and programs throughout the United States, which can be a lot simpler with College Baseball Insights.

The College Search Tool starts from the most important aspect of the recruiting process, “do I fit in academically at a particular school?” All college coaches are looking for student-athletes who are going to be a good fit in the classroom and on the diamond.
Search Criteria focuses on improving the relevance of your search. Hone in on what you would like to search. Look by division, conference, or state that any school is located in. This tool will give you the school you’re looking for, and programs similar to it.

The Player Distribution Map gives you a look of where the current student-athletes on the rosters of schools are coming from. As a player, parent, and travel baseball coach, this gives you insights on where these coaches like to recruit from. Some programs have their travel teams and recruiting area already steaked out. This is important to keep in mind when reaching out to coaches.

The Player Distribution by Position section shows you the current make up of the roster of a particular program. This is important to keep in mind as a prospect rising up through the recruiting process. If the position you play already has three players at the same position already on the roster, it might not be in your best interest to pursue that school.

Team Roster Insights helps with the details of the roster that are important to consider. For example, graduating seniors, the number of red shirts on the roster, head coach tenure, etc. All of these aspects are important to consider when pursuing schools to play at.

The Expenses Allocated by Sport graph shows how a school’s athletic department is using their budget. Depending on the school, spending on athletics is mainly based on revenue-generating sports, such as football and basketball. Now, you might be asking yourself, “I’m a baseball player, who cares how much money the football team brings in?” What you might not realize is that the money that is made from the football program directly affects the budget of the baseball team. No football team might mean a lot small of a budget for the baseball team!
